Rachel Brown received her PhD in Religion and Cultural Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2016, following a Master’s in Religious Studies from McMaster University in 2009 and a Bachelor’s with Honours in Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo in 2007. She has published several journal articles and book chapters on topics related to Muslim integration, food identity, and the experiences of religious minorities in the Pacific Northwest. Her work critically engages with how cultural landscapes in North America and Europe are transformed through the food practices of diverse communities.
