Biography

Rachel Gilgoff is a board-certified general pediatrician and child abuse pediatrician with specialization in integrative medicine. She emphasizes a multidisciplinary, whole-family approach to address adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), toxic stress, and overall well-being. Currently, she serves as an advisor for the California ACEs Aware Initiative and the UCLA-UCSF ACEs Aware Family Resilience Network, as well as the Center for Youth Wellness. As a co-founder of the National Committee on Asthma and Toxic Stress, she conducts research through the SYSTEMAATIC Project, which focuses on systems-based, multidisciplinary assessment for individualized care. Gilgoff has developed the “Stress Busters: Clinical Strategies Preventing Mitigating Toxic Stress” online course and has led the creation of the ACEs Aware Stress Busters Resource Webpage. She is dedicated to promoting patient-centered, individualized care to tackle health problems resulting from child abuse and toxic stress. Her credentials include board certifications in general pediatrics, child abuse pediatrics, and integrative medicine. She completed her medical education at the Keck School of Medicine, USC, and several fellowships in integrative psychiatry and pediatric integrative medicine.
