Biography

Rachel Mehendale, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Chicago. She completed her neurology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City in 2018. Prior to that, she undertook a preliminary year at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2015. She has published works on aggressive LDL lowering in patients with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerosis and is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, recognized for her commitment to compassionate care and service. Dr. Mehendale continues to explore innovations in neurology that improve patient outcomes and accessibility to care.
