Biography

Rachel E. Moss is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Northampton and a Departmental Tutor at the University of Oxford. She has a PhD in Medieval Studies from the University of York and has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at l'Université Paris Panthéon Sorbonne, where she secured funding as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Faculty of History at the University of Oxford. She is currently investigating the intersections of medievalism and the extreme right in Britain from the 1960s to the 1980s, with a specific emphasis on political nostalgia and its social implications. Moss has received a British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Small Research Grant for her project centered on 'Medievalism, gender, politicized nostalgia, and the British extreme right'. Her recent publications include contributions to works on well-being in past contexts and dialogues around contemporary cultural phenomena.
