Biography

Rachel Newton is a registered architect and a full-time Senior Lecturer at the Manchester School of Architecture, specializing in the PgCert Architecture Contemporary Practice program, which is part of the RIBA Part 3 qualification. With 16 years of experience in architectural practice, she has worked in various creative disciplines including branding, marketing, web design, and graphics. Rachel is also the Director of Architect CIC, a social enterprise dedicated to teaching children and young people about architecture and the built environment. She integrates innovative pedagogical approaches and engages MArch students in PRAXXIS, a feminist Atelier. In addition to her role in academia, she is a passionate educator committed to developing specialized teaching methods.
