Biography

Rachel Leigh Randell is an Assistant Professor at the Duke Department of Pediatrics and a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. She completed her Clinical Pharmacology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Duke University from 2020 to 2023 and has an extensive background in pediatric medicine, having served as a Pediatric Rheumatology Fellow and Pediatric Chief Resident at Duke University. Randell’s research interests focus on clinical trials and pharmacokinetics in pediatric populations, particularly in relation to diseases such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. She has received several grants for her research, including funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. Randell graduated with an M.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she also completed her M.S.C.R. Additionally, she is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and has actively contributed to the pediatric medicine field through her research and clinical roles.
