Radu Suciu is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Geneva's Interfaculty Centre for Bioethics and Medical Humanities. He holds a PhD from Geneva and Sorbonne Universities. Prior to joining the University of Geneva, he was a research fellow at the University of Fribourg, where he focused on Medical and Digital Humanities projects. His research encompasses the history of medicine, particularly during the Early Modern period, with a special emphasis on representations of melancholy in medicine, literature, and the arts. He is also interested in the representation of medicine in current visual cultures, both online and offline. In 2013, he co-curated the book exhibition 'Readers at Work' at the Martin Bodmer Foundation in Cologny, Geneva, which offered an overview of readers' interactions with texts across the ages.
