Dr. Rafaela Mangino

Biography

Rafaela Mangino is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Plastic Surgery, with a clinical focus on hand surgery and wound care. She manages fractures, dislocations, musculoskeletal disorders, minor wounds, and post-operative surgical care. Graduating magna cum laude from the University of Bridgeport's Physician Assistant program in 2013, Rafaela has been practicing as a PA since then. Before her role as a Physician Assistant, she worked in cancer research at Yale University. Rafaela is fluent in Spanish and holds an interpreter certification from YNHH. She emphasizes the importance of personalized patient care, believing that a crucial factor in successful care is listening carefully to patients' needs and maintaining an open mind when discussing treatment options, whether surgical or non-surgical. She enjoys working with individuals of all age groups.
