Biography

Raffaella Ghittoni is an Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at USC Dornsife. Her research primarily focuses on the oncogenic potential of human papillomavirus (HPV) and its role in cancer development. She has published extensively in high-impact journals on topics such as Toll-Like Receptor expression and its implications in cellular processes, as well as the effects of HPV on cellular signaling pathways. Ghittoni's work also explores the immune responses elicited by viral infections, including the interaction between natural killer cells and dendritic cells, and the mechanisms by which HIV-1 may evade immune detection.
