Dr. Raffaella Morotti

Biography

Raffaella Morotti graduated from the University of Milan and completed her residency in anatomic pathology at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric pathology at New York University. She is board-certified in both anatomic pathology and pediatric pathology. Since joining the faculty at Yale in 2011, she has served as Director of Pediatric Pathology and Associate Director of the Autopsy Service. Dr. Morotti specializes in diagnosing diseases that affect children, including malignant tumors such as blastomas and sarcomas. She has a particular interest in cholestatic diseases of infants and children, as well as a rare expertise in perinatal pathology, dealing with fetal malformations and placenta pathology. Dr. Morotti believes in a pediatric approach that recognizes the differences between children's and adults' bodies, aiming for a deep understanding of the specific diseases that necessitate specialized training in pediatric pathology.
