Dr. Rafik Goubran

Biography

Rafik Goubran is a Professor in the School of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University. He holds a Ph.D. from Carleton University and is a Professional Engineer. His research focuses on digital signal processing applications, particularly in biomedical engineering and audio processing. He has made significant contributions in these fields, advancing methodologies and applications that impact both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Professor Goubran served as Vice-President for Research International, where he worked on promoting research collaboration and innovation at the international level. His work is supported by a number of publications in renowned journals, showcasing the relevance and applicability of his research interests. Goubran is actively involved in mentoring students and guiding research projects, fostering a rich academic environment in his department.
