Dr. Raghu Lingam

Biography

Professor Lingam is a senior clinical academic with expertise in maternal and child health services research. He leads the Population Child Health Services Research Group at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and serves as an Honorary Professor at the Black Dog Institute. With extensive experience developing and evaluating large-scale child health intervention programs in both low and high-income settings, he is noted for his proficiency in experimental and quasi-experimental research methods. In the past five years, he has successfully attracted over $49.5 million in research funding and has published 140 research publications, establishing himself as a leading figure in the field. Professor Lingam's work involves optimizing health and development for children and young people and includes significant contributions to clinical trials and health services research. His role as a consultant pediatrician at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network further emphasizes his commitment to improving child health services. With a focus on health systems transformation, Professor Lingam also supervises multiple PhD and MSc students, furthering academic growth in this critical area of research.
