Graduated from the University of Montreal in 2009, Raja Hatem completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology at teaching hospitals by 2015. Following this, he underwent additional training in interventional cardiology (hemodynamics) focusing on complex high-risk procedures at the prestigious Columbia University in New York. He is a national and international lecturer in the field and has contributed by co-authoring chapters in interventional cardiology reference books. Currently, he serves as the director of the cath lab and the CTO-CHIP program at Sacré Coeur Hospital, which is part of the CIUSSS North Island Montreal. His research interests particularly focus on the treatment of coronary artery disease, especially through percutaneous approaches for chronically occluded coronary arteries (CTO) and complex hemodynamic procedures (CHIP).
