Dr. Rajan Gupta

Biography

Rajan Tilak Gupta is a Professor in the Department of Radiology and Urology at Duke University, where he also serves as the Executive Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs. He has extensive expertise in abdominal imaging, particularly in multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging for prostate cancer, and MR imaging of the hepatobiliary system. Dr. Gupta is a recognized leader in the field, directing the Duke Cancer Institute’s Abdominal Imaging and overseeing imaging operations at the Duke Cancer Institute Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers. His research interests include advancements in imaging technologies such as dual-energy computed tomography, which have significant implications for cancer detection and treatment. He has been awarded multiple grants for his innovative contributions to imaging, including projects focusing on acoustic radiation force imaging and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for evaluating bone marrow in acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Gupta has also held several academic positions throughout his career, reflecting his commitment to education and research in radiology.
