Biography

Dr. Raj Ayyagari graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2011. He has since focused on the field of prostatic artery embolization (PAE), significantly contributing to the development of one of the largest PAE practices in the United States. His recent work includes pioneering minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer, specifically through MRI-guided procedures which improve patient outcomes compared to standard methods. Dr. Ayyagari has partnered with urologists to establish some of the few centers worldwide that offer new MRI-guided transurethral prostate cancer ablation procedures. He has served on the faculty of Yale School of Medicine and is now a faculty member at Boston University School of Medicine, where he practices as an interventional radiologist at Boston Medical Center.
