Biography

Mohan Rajesh Elara is an Associate Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. He is a co-founder of Lionsbot, a robotics company that develops and deploys a wide range of autonomous cleaning robots. Elara has served as a visiting faculty member at the International Design Institute of Zhejiang University, China, and has led reconfigurable robotics projects funded by the National Robotics Programme in Singapore. Notable projects he has worked on include the Dragonfly, a reconfigurable mosquito control robot, aimed at fighting dengue and other vector-borne diseases. Elara's research interests include reconfigurable robotics, robot ergonomics, bio-inspired design, human-robot interaction, and assistive technologies.
