Biography

Rajesh Naik is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. He joined the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in 1999 as a research scientist. Prior to his role at AFRL, he was awarded the Howard Hughes Research Associate Fellowship at the Center for Advanced Biotechnology Medicine at Rutgers University. He was appointed as the Biotechnology Direction Leader in June 2005 and currently serves as the Bio Research Lead Technical Advisor in the Nano-Bio branch of the Materials Manufacturing Directorate. Rajesh has authored and co-authored over 110 journal papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings. His accolades include the Air Force Star Team Award for Basic Research, the Air Force Civilian Achievement Award, and the Vince Russo Award for Leadership Excellence. In 2009, he was selected as a fellow of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).
