Dr. Raji Sundararajan

Biography

Raji Sundararajan is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) at Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in December 1993, following a Master's degree in High Voltage Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in March 1988 and a Bachelor's degree with honors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras in December 1981. Over his distinguished career, Professor Sundararajan has held various academic positions, including Associate Professor roles at both Purdue University and Arizona State University. He has collaborated internationally, serving as a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras and participating in numerous workshops and conferences across the globe, focusing on electrical engineering and biomedical instrumentation. His research interests encompass electrical and laser pulse-mediated drug and gene delivery, high voltage engineering, and modeling biological systems for energy technologies. He has received multiple awards for his research and teaching excellence, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Electrostatics Society of America and various paper awards in international conferences.
