Rajinder Pal is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, as well as a fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada. His research areas of interest include the rheology of dispersions, the flow of dispersions in pipelines and other process equipment, the stability and demulsification of oil and water emulsions, column flotation, and the measurement of multi-phase fluid flows. His work on breaking water-in-oil emulsions is significant for crude oil production, as a substantial amount of the world’s crude oil appears in this form. He also researches methods for separating emulsified oil droplets from oily waste waters using flotation columns. Professor Pal has authored three books and over 150 refereed journal publications within his specialized research areas. He served as Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering from 1992 to 2004. His contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including the Syncrude Canada Innovation Award in 1998 for his work in chemical engineering before turning 40, as well as multiple teaching awards from the University of Waterloo.
Includes fields like Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
