Biography

Rajiv Vohra is a Professor of Economics at Brown University, where he has served since 1983. He earned his bachelor's degree from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, in 1977, a master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics in 1979, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 1983. Vohra became a full professor at Brown in 1989 after serving as an assistant professor and later as chair of the Department of Economics from 1991 to 1995. He was the Dean of the Faculty from 2004 to 2011. His research interests encompass areas such as general equilibrium theory, cooperative and non-cooperative game theory, information economics, and implementation theory. He has contributed significantly to the field, having received funding from the National Science Foundation for his research. Additionally, Vohra is a fellow of the Econometric Society, an Economic Theory Fellow, and has served on the Council of the Game Theory Society. He has been active in editorial roles for various academic journals and has published extensively on topics related to economic theory.
