Biography

Ralph Brubaker is the James H.M. Sprayregen Professor of Law at the University of Illinois College of Law and a recognized expert in bankruptcy law. He rejoined the faculty in 2004 after a decade at Emory University School of Law, where he served as faculty adviser to the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. He earned his BS, MBA, and JD from the University of Illinois, graduating summa cum laude and receiving several honors, including membership in the Order of the Coif. Brubaker's contributions to the field have been recognized with awards such as the Editors' Prize from the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and the Lawrence P. King Award for excellence in bankruptcy scholarship. He serves on various editorial boards and is an active member of professional organizations related to bankruptcy law.
