Biography

Ralph Folsom is a Professor Emeritus at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he has contributed significantly since joining the faculty in 1975. His professional expertise encompasses an array of legal fields including International Trade Law, International Business Transactions, European Union Law, Foreign Investment Law, and Antitrust Law. Folsom has a rich academic background with a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, a Juris Doctor from Yale University, and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics. He has served as a professor-in-residence at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and has lectured at various prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Warwick in England, University of Hong Kong, and multiple others across France and Latin America. Over the years, he has engaged in scholarly missions as a senior Fulbright resident scholar in Singapore and has played an instrumental role in developing USD’s Summer Law Programs Abroad and the LLMC Program for foreign law graduates. Folsom is also a member of the California Bar.
