Biography

Professor Nuzzo received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University in 1976 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1980. After completing his graduate studies, he accepted a position at Bell Laboratories, part of A.T.&T., where he held the title of Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff in Materials Research. He joined the faculty at the University of Illinois in 1991. He has published extensively on the dynamics, mechanics, properties, and transformations of various materials, including polymers, metals, and ceramics. Professor Nuzzo has collaborated with colleagues from different institutions, continuously contributing to the advancement of technology and materials science.
