Biography

Ramana Chamarty is the Chief Architect and Head of Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture at Fidelity Investments, where he is responsible for providing technical leadership and overseeing architectural strategies for over 200 security capabilities. He serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, teaching intermediate and advanced database management systems in the School of Information and Library Sciences. Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, where he teaches an introduction to cybersecurity. Previously, he worked at Temple University as faculty and Director of Identity and Access Management. His expertise encompasses various topics in cybersecurity, with specializations in Identity Management, provisioning governance, authentication, authorization, fraud prevention, identity proofing and matching, Cloud Directory services, Access Control Management, API security, and Privileged Access Management, following NIST controls. He is a recognized speaker at both international and national conferences, where he has conducted talks on security and advanced database topics. His research interests include cyber hygiene, zero trust action, cyber analytics, decentralized identity, persona-centric IAM, and adaptive access factoring risk.
