Biography

Ramesh Yerraballi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Osmania University in India in 1991 and a PhD in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, Virginia in 1996. Prior to his current position, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science department at Midwestern State University from 1996 to 1998 and then taught in the CSE department at the University of Texas at Arlington from 1999 to 2007. His teaching interests cover a wide range of subjects in Computing, including Theory of Computing, Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Systems Programming, Operating Systems, Real-Time Systems, Distributed Systems, and Computer Architecture. He particularly enjoys teaching at the undergraduate level. His research interests include Operating Systems, Multimedia Communications, and System Security.
