Biography

Ramon Gonzalez is a Professor of Practice in the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies program at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. He teaches courses in educational leadership, advises master's and doctoral students, and designs school district programs using an executive coaching model for school leaders. His research interests include entrepreneurial school leadership, flexible school year programming, literacy programs for youth, and resource allocation strategies to support student equity and empowerment. Previously, he served as an award-winning principal at the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology in New York City and has founded public schools while mentoring over 100 aspiring leaders. His innovative practices have included community literacy programs and job training initiatives, which have garnered attention in several media outlets, including PBS and the Wall Street Journal. He also completed the Columbia Business School Coaching Certification Program and has held leadership positions in various educational associations.
