Rampi Ramprasad joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech in February 2018 after a significant tenure as Centennial Term Professor at the University of Connecticut, where he started in Fall 2004. Funding for his research has been provided by major entities such as the Office of Naval Research, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Army Research Office, and Toyota Research Institute. Ramprasad is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and an elected member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering, among other honors.
