Biography

Ran Hirschl (Ph.D., Yale University) is a University Professor and the David R. Cameron Distinguished Professor of Law and Politics. He studies constitutional law and institutions, particularly at the intersection of comparative politics and society. He has authored several major books including 'City, State: Constitutionalism Megacity' and 'Comparative Matters: Renaissance Comparative Constitutional Law', both published by Oxford University Press, as well as 'Constitutional Theocracy' and 'Juristocracy: Origins and Consequences of New Constitutionalism'.
