Biography

Randall Hansen works on forced voluntary migration, eugenics population policy, and the effects of war on civilian populations. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Global Migration and directs the Munk School’s Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies. His current book project examines the effects of post-1970s global capitalism on low-skilled migration and refugees. His contributions have been recognized in major academic journals such as World Politics, Comparative Politics, the British Journal of Political Science, and the European Journal of Political Research.
