Biography

Randy Trzeciak is the Program Director for the Masters of Science in Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM) at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. In addition to his role as director, he serves as an adjunct professor in the graduate School of Information Systems and Management. He is also a technical manager at the Software Engineering Institute's CERT program, where he leads the Enterprise Threat Vulnerability Management Team and the CERT Insider Threat Center. His team focuses on helping organizations enhance their security posture and incident response capabilities by researching and addressing technical threat areas. They conduct information security assessments and offer training solutions to help prevent, detect, and respond to illicit activities. With prior experience managing the Management Information Systems (MIS) team at the SEI, Trzeciak has a strong background in developing and supporting large-scale relational database management systems. Previously, he worked as a consultant at Software Technology, Incorporated, and spent nine years at the Naval Research Laboratory, engaged in various projects that included designing and supporting large-scale database systems.
