Randy McIntosh is a Professor and the BC Leadership Chair in Neuroscience at Simon Fraser University. He leads the Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience research program which focuses on computational modeling and brain imaging. His work aims to explore the changes in cognition across the lifespan and how these are affected by brain damage and disease. McIntosh has successfully built international collaborations to deliver The Virtual Brain, an innovative platform that integrates research efforts globally to accelerate research translation. His program has two main goals: first, to integrate a modeling platform into a standard workflow for clinical decision support; and second, to develop a cloud-based system that allows anyone to create brain models for research, clinical use, and education.
