Biography

Ranjeeta Thomas is an Associate Professor in Health Economics at the London School of Economics. She serves as the Programme Director for the MSc in International Health Policy focused on Health Economics. With previous experience as a Research Fellow at the School of Public Health at Imperial College London and at the Health Economics Research Centre at the University of Oxford, Ranjeeta brings significant expertise in applied economics. Her research centers on understanding the drivers of risky health behaviors, testing incentives and nudges to improve the demand for preventative health care, and exploring the long-term benefits of childhood health education interventions. As a co-investigator on grants from the National Institute of Mental Health in the USA and the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership, she has led consultancy projects for noteworthy organizations including the Global Fund and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
