Raphael Xavier is an award-winning artist originally from Wilmington, Delaware, who is self-taught in Hip-Hop dance and has been a Breaking practitioner since 1983. He has developed an exceptional approach to improvisation, which has earned him recognition as a fine movement technician by Brenda Dixon Gottschild. As an innovative Movement Conceptualist, Xavier creates new ways to expand the vocabulary of dance forms, integrating cultural influences along with his visual background as a Hip Hop magazine photographer and musical artist.
