Biography

Rasmus Rosenberg Larsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto, cross-appointed with the Forensic Science Program at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). He completed his PhD at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His academic work focuses on the intersection of psychology, philosophy, and law, and he has published articles in prestigious journals such as Lancet: Psychiatry, Psychology, Public Policy, and Law, as well as Philosophical Psychology and Erkenntnis. Rasmus primarily teaches graduate-level courses in Philosophy of Science, including courses like PHL2196 and PHL2198. He is also the author of the forthcoming book "Psychopathy Unmasked: The Rise and Fall of a Dangerous Diagnosis" (MIT Press, June 2025), which offers a critical review of the contemporary research and judicial use of the diagnosis commonly known as Psychopathic Personality Disorder, or psychopathy.
