Biography

Professor Ratko Djukanovic is a leading researcher in the field of respiratory medicine at the University of Southampton. His lifelong interest focuses on asthma, particularly severe forms and the underlying mechanisms that contribute to its pathology. Djukanovic has led pioneering studies in using bronchoscopy techniques to explore the roles of inflammatory cells and mediators in asthma.
