Dr. Raúl Razo Garcia

Biography

Raúl Razo-Garcia is an Associate Professor at Carleton University, specializing in Economics. He holds a B.A. from ITESM, an M.A. from El Colegio de México, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on international macroeconomics and monetary economics, with particular expertise in exchange rate regimes, exchange rates during international financial crises, monetary policy, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, and financial account liberalization. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the field, evidenced by his publications in reputable journals, including the Journal of International Money and Finance and the Review of International Organizations. He is also a co-author of the influential textbook 'Macroeconomics' (8th Edition), which has been widely adopted in academic circles. Apart from his academic roles, he speaks Spanish in addition to English, enhancing his ability to engage with diverse audiences in the field of economics.
