Dr. Raveen Pal

Biography

Dr. Raveen Pal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen's University with a focus on cardiology, specializing in echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography (CT). He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Toronto and subsequently pursued his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Ottawa, followed by a residency in Cardiology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Pal spent two years in California, where he trained in Cardiac Computed Tomography (CCT) at UCLA and Echocardiography at UCSF. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University, which he completed in 2012. Dr. Pal is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in both Canada and the USA, and he possesses Level 3 board certification in echocardiography and cardiac CT. His clinical practice includes the interpretation of echocardiograms and cardiac CTs, with a strong focus on women's health, cardio-oncology, and valvular heart disease. Dr. Pal is actively engaged in medical education, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in cardiology and echocardiography, and he serves as the Chair of the Queen’s Cardiovascular Conference, a key continuing medical education program. His research interests center around the investigation of 3D echocardiography and cardiac CT imaging applications, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in these areas. Dr. Pal is dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care to his local community and advancing the field of imaging to optimize patient outcomes.
