Dr. Ravi Anupindi

Biography

Ravi Anupindi is the Colonel William G. Ann C. Svetlich Professor of Operations Research Management at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He chairs the University of Michigan President’s Advisory Committee on Labor Standards and Human Rights since 2013. Anupindi previously served as the founding Faculty Director of the Center for Value Chain Innovation from 2017 to 2020 and as co-Director of the Technology Business Innovation Forum between 2015 and 2018. He has been a Research Fellow at the William Davidson Institute and is affiliated with various academic centers, including the Institute of Health Policy and Innovation and the Sustainable Food Systems Initiative. His research focuses on technology business innovation, global supply chain management, and healthcare delivery in low and middle-income countries. Anupindi also contributes to national studies addressing issues such as vaccine distribution supply chains and market competition in infant formula. He is recognized for his teaching excellence, receiving multiple awards, and has authored case studies, articles, and co-authored a textbook on managing business process flows. Anupindi has held teaching positions at top institutions, including New York University and Northwestern University, and actively participates in various boards and councils related to supply chain management and global health.
