Biography

Ravi Radhakrishnan holds the position of Professor and Chair in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Dr. Radhakrishnan is a member of the graduate groups in Genomics & Computational Biology and Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics. He is a founder member and served as the Director of the Penn Institute for Computational Sciences, an interdisciplinary institute that promotes research in multiscale modeling, machine learning, and high-performance supercomputing. His active engagement includes participation in funded national and international multidisciplinary consortia, such as the European Research Council’s Computational Horizons in Cancer and the National Cancer Institute’s Physical Sciences Oncology Network. Dr. Radhakrishnan leads the NCI-funded Penn Physical Sciences Oncology Network and serves as the Working Group Leader for the High-Performance Computing Working Group within the Inter-Agency Modeling Group, which involves NIH, NSF, NASA, DOE, DOD, and DARPA.
