Raymond Boyle is a Professor in the School of Culture and Creative Arts at the University of Glasgow, where he also serves as the Director of the Centre for Cultural Policy Research (CCPR). He graduated with a degree in Media Studies and History from the University of Ulster and completed an MA by research in Communications at Dublin City University. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, he held a position in the Communication Studies Department at Glasgow Caledonian University. He has developed an international reputation in media sport research, focusing on media policy and the relationship between new media and sports content. Currently, he is also working with UEFA and the University of Lausanne on delivering the Certificate in Football Management. His extensive work in cultural media policy has included consultancy projects and roles as an academic advisor on media entrepreneurship and children's media issues.
