Biography

Professor Raymond Dufresne, Jr., M.D. graduated summa cum laude from Providence College and completed his medical school residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, followed by a Mohs Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has been board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology, and has been a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery since 1992. Dr. Dufresne is the Director of the Mohs Dermatological Surgery Division at Rhode Island Hospital and is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed thousands of Mohs procedures, focusing his practice exclusively on Mohs surgery. His clinical research interests center on limited cutaneous oncology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr. Dufresne is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
