Raymond S.W. Yeung, M.D., is a board-certified surgeon and the founder of the UW Medicine Liver Tumor Clinic, located in the Pacific Northwest. He is the section chief of HPB Complex Abdominal Oncology and serves as the Director of the Center for Advanced Minimally Invasive Liver Oncologic Therapy (CAMILOT) at the University of Washington. Dr. Yeung has specialized in minimally invasive surgery and has pioneered numerous new techniques for pain reduction in liver surgery. He is a strong proponent of a multidisciplinary team approach to formulating optimal treatment plans for patients. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Yeung is actively involved in academic research and has secured both local and national funding for his research endeavors. His current research is directed at understanding the molecular causes of early detection in hepatocellular and fibrolamellar liver cancers, using tissue slice culture models. He is also internationally recognized for his groundbreaking research on tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).
