Biography

Rebecca Ahrens-Nicklas, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, specializing in Human Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BS in Pharmacology from Duke University in 2003, followed by an MD and a PhD in Physiology & Biophysics from Weill Cornell Medical College in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Her lab seeks to create treatments for inherited disorders through the application of genetic, biochemical, and electrophysiologic techniques in cellular, model organism, and human subject studies.
