Rebecca received her undergraduate degree in Spanish in 2004 and an MBA in 2010 from Butler University. After her son was admitted to the NICU shortly after birth in 2007, she realized her passion for nursing. In 2008, she accepted a position as a Spanish Interpreter at a hospital and began her studies in nursing, which she continued alongside her work until 2017. Her research interests encompass Water, Sanitation Hygiene, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Pediatrics, under the broader areas of Sustainable Organizations and Thriving Communities. She has contributed to publications in the field, including a systematic review on global service-learning.
