Biography

Professor Rebecca McKetin leads research in stimulant use epidemiology and interventions at the National Drug & Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW. Her current work focuses on the online delivery of psychological help for individuals using stimulants, and she is trialling new pharmacotherapy options for methamphetamine dependence, including the 'Tina Trial' and 'N-ICE trial'. She also developed novel responses to address methamphetamine use in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through studies like the NIMAC. Rebecca established the Methamphetamine Treatment Outcomes Study (MATES), a pioneering longitudinal study that evaluates treatment outcomes for methamphetamine dependence.
