Dr. Rebecca Miksad

Biography

Rebecca Miksad, MD, MPH, MMS, is an Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, specializing in hematology and medical oncology. She is a medical oncologist and health outcomes researcher, currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Color Health. Dr. Miksad is recognized for her extensive expertise in cancer patient-centric health technology, clinical trials, and real-world evidence research. She established the High Risk Cancer Genetics clinic at Boston Medical Center, where she has made significant contributions to oncology, clinical trials, and data science, with over 100 scientific publications to her name. Previously, she founded and led the Strategic Affairs team at Flatiron Health, developing healthtech products that set industry standards for real-world data. Dr. Miksad has directed the Gastrointestinal Cancer program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and has conducted NIH-funded research. With her academic foundations from prestigious institutions including Cornell University and Harvard University, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. Dr. Miksad continues to practice clinically at Boston Medical Center and frequently publishes in leading medical journals, serves on national committees, and lectures internationally.
