Dr. Rebecca Mooney

Biography

Rebecca Mooney, formerly known as Money-Kyrle, is a legal scholar focused on collective rights and class action procedures, integrating theoretical legal aspects with public and private rights, and addressing domestic and cross-border enforcement issues. She is currently completing a book titled 'Collective Rights Europe' under a publishing contract with Hart/Bloomsbury, which delves into collective rights procedures within the European Union across selected member states. Her research interests are informed by her expertise in European Union law, domestic human rights, and constitutional law, especially in light of the Brexit referendum and its implications for future legal contexts. In addition to contributing to collaborative publications at the Oxford Law Faculty on the legal ramifications of the Brexit vote, Mooney has practical experience as a litigation solicitor. She has practiced law at various international firms, specializing in public law, constitutional law, human rights, and administrative regulatory law. Her academic contributions include teaching courses in Administrative Law, European Union Law, and Constitutional Law in a senior status program.
