Biography

Rebecca Myerson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and Public Health. Her research focuses on examining the impacts of public policies and information interventions on insurance coverage, healthcare access, and health outcomes. Myerson holds a Doctorate in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, a Master in Public Health from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University. She is a Faculty Affiliate at the University of Wisconsin's La Follette School of Public Affairs, Carbone Cancer Center, and the Institute for Research on Poverty, as well as the Center for Demography and Health Aging and the Center for Demography and Ecology. Before joining the University of Wisconsin, she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California. Myerson's policy research has been recognized with the ISPOR Award for Excellence in Application of Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research and has received funding from the Fulbright scholarship through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Her work has been featured in major media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC Nightly News, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
