Biography

Rebecca Schulman is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University, where she is a core researcher at the Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology. She has received several prestigious awards including the Hartwell Individual Biomolecular Research Award and the President’s Early Career Award for Science and Engineering. Schulman earned her bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999, followed by a PhD in Computation and Neural Systems from the California Institute of Technology in 2007. She furthered her research as a postdoctoral scholar in the same field at Caltech and as a Miller Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.
