Dr. Rebecca Tan

Biography

Rebecca Tan is a Senior Lecturer at the Research School of Accounting at the Australian National University. She is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Chartered Accountant. In addition to her role, she serves as the Accounting Masters Convenor. Her research interests encompass international accounting issues, sustainability accounting reporting, management accounting systems—including behavioral issues—and developments in accounting education. Rebecca has published in esteemed journals such as the British Accounting Review, Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, International Journal of Accounting, International Journal of Management, and the Australian Accounting Review. Furthermore, she contributes as an external assessor for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and is a reviewer for journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Accounting & Finance, and the Australasian Journal of Environmental Management. With a focus on international accounting developments and practices, her academic contributions significantly enhance the understanding of financial accounting practices, management accounting processes, and sustainability reporting disclosure practices.
